M35 High Speed Steel
M35 HSS is similar to M2 high-speed steel but with added 5% cobalt to increase heat resistance. The hardness will up to 66 HRC in the generally recommended heat treatment，M35 high speed steel also offers excellent cutting performance superior to M2 tool steel.For this property,M35 is also known as HSS-E or HSSE.

5.M35 HSS Applications
1)Mainly used in kinds of cutting tools，such as broaches, saw blades,reamers,milling cutters and end mills.
2)M35 high-speed steel is a good quality wear resistant grade for cold-work applications.
3)Commonly used in tools which has exact demands for heat resistance.
1)Preheat M35 high-speed steel uniformly and slowly to 450-500°C;
2)Increase the forging temperature to 950-1100°C;
3)Hold the M35 HSS forging temperature above 950°C;
4)M35 high speed tool steel should be cooled very slowly after forging.
M35 is usually annealed after hot working and re annealing will be necessary if the m35 tool steel has been hot worked, forged, or hardened.Increase the temperature of M35 high speed steel to 850°C at a rate of Max220°C per hour. Hold at the temperature for one hour per 25mm of thickness and then furnace cool slowly. The annealed hardness achieved should be Max255 Brinell.
Hardening(in a vacuum,controlled furnace, or salt bath)
1)Preheat M35 HSS too steel to 450-500°C ;
2)Increase the temperature to 820-880°C;
3)Heating the hardening temperature to 1050-1250°C;
4)The M35 high speed steel component must be heated through;
5)Transfer M35 tool steel to the high temperature salt bath or vacuum furnace;
1)Heat thoroughly and uniformly to the tempering temperature(between 510-620°C);
2)Temper M35 hss immediately after quenching;
3)Triple tempering is strongly recommended for M35 high speed steel;
4)Cooled M35 HSS in the air to room temperature.
